JERUSALEM – Gaza militants launched two rockets into southern Israel Sunday, drawing a threat of "harsh and disproportionate" retaliation from Israel's prime minister and further straining a cease-fire that ended a devastating offensive in the territory two weeks ago.
The two rockets were launched at around 6:50 am. One landed in the Sdot Negev Regional Council and the other hit the Eshkol Regional Council. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
So far Hamas has not taken responsibility for any of the new attacks.According to Hamas , the rockets could be fired by smaller militant group or Israelis own interest group.
However Israel says it holds Hamas responsible. Hamas has ruled Gaza since seizing power in June 2007, responsible for all attacks emanating from Gaza.
Speaking to his Cabinet on Sunday, outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Israel would respond "when and where we choose.

Clueless Olmert has to prove something -- for years he remained in the shadow of Sharon, the Butcher, and has to prove that he too could be as tough, perhaps even tougher than his erstwhile chief.
Extraordinary mentality.
