Sydney–Israeli ambassador to Australia Yuval Rotem made a sensational statement at the meeting with the representatives of the Sydney Jewish community, APA reports.
First of all, the ambassador wanted to know whether there were journalists in the hall or not.
"The best thing to do is to have a very open dialogue if there are no reporters or journalists here," the diplomat said.
But Channel 7 reporter Sarah Cummings knew about the statement of Rotem. Yuval Rotem said Israel’s military offensive in Gaza was a “pre-introduction” to the possible operation in Iran that will own nuclear weapons within a year.
“Israel’s operation in Gaza should demonstrate that we will not stop unless we reach our goal,” he said.
The ambassador said Israel was committed to the diplomatic and economic efforts to stop Iran’s nuclear program. “Uranium enrichment must be stopped in Iran,” he said.
