Sabah lies on the northern part of Borneo, has been named one of TripAdvisor travellers'
choice destinations on the rise.
The Malaysian destination, which is
known for its beaches, tropical rainforests and Mount Kinabalu, took 6th spot
on the travel review site's Asian list.
The recent awards, announced on
Tuesday, highlight 54 spots globally that have seen the greatest increase in
positive traveller

World No. 1 upcoming destination is
Havana in Cuba; whilst the only Asian destinations to make the world's top 10
are Kathmandu in Nepal, Sapporo in Japan and Hanoi in Vietnam - which also rank
top 3 in the Asian list.
Other Asian destinations that
travellers can watch out for include Siam Reap in Cambodia, Hua Hin in Thailand
and Sanur in Indonesia.
