BOMBS BLAST MEAN FOR CHRISTIANS IN IRAQ

BAGHDAD – An Iraqi official says two bombs in the northern city of Mosul appeared to target buses carrying Christian students, killing at least one bystander and injuring around 100 others.
The head of the provincial council's security committee, Abdul-Rahim al-Shammari, says a shop owner in the area was killed and the injured included students and other civilians.
He says the attack began with a roadside bomb that exploded around 7:30 a.m. and appeared to target buses carrying students to a university. Moments later, a car bomb exploded nearby.
Sunni Muslim insurgents have frequently targeted members of Iraq's Christian minority. Some extremist Sunnis consider Christians to be nonbelievers and supporters of Iraq's Shiite-led government.
