PREGNANT CANADIAN WOMAN DRAGGED OUTSIDE WEAVING CAR

NANAIMO,B.C, Canada - A man is facing charges after a pregnant woman was dragged outside a car that was weaving in and out of traffic in Nanaimo, B.C., on Saturday.
The RCMP say the 27-year-old woman had one foot inside the vehicle and one outside and was holding onto the door frame as the car reached speeds of about 50 kilometres an hour.

• “She was actually trying to get out of the vehicle, and he was preventing her,” said RCMP Const. Gary O’Brien. “Her head was extremely sore. Why? Because he was pulling her hair and trying to keep her in the car and he assaulted her several times, struck her actually in the abdomen.”
• A man and his 18-year-old son in a car behind called 911 and eventually managed to stop the vehicle by pulling in front of it.
• The son took the woman out of the car to a nearby home to wait for an ambulance, but the driver then sped away with a three-year-old boy still inside the vehicle.

A man was later arrested at a home in connection with the incident. Jay Paul Guzina has been charged with dangerous driving, assault and forcible confinement.
The woman, who was three months pregnant, was not seriously injured, but did suffer scrapes and bruises.
