KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - Former Cabinet minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim claimed trial in a Sessions Court here to using offensive remark in urging Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to step down from office.
Zaid, 64, was charged with using the internet service with
intent to hurt the feeling of others at http://www.zaid.my/current/rally-behind-tun-dr-mahathir-mohammad/.
The offense was said to have committed at a criminal
investigation unit, Bukit Aman here at about 3.20pm on Sept 3.
Zaid was accused under Section 233(1)(a) of the
Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (Act 588).
