Nearly a year after the fighting, more than 64,000 people remain displaced from their homes, living in difficult conditions.
Around 140 refugees have died inside sports complex that was used to house tens of thousands of people who were displaced.
Basic services are lacking in the complex. A boy bathes outside his shelter at the Mampang village relocation site.
Construction work continues at the Buggoc relocation site for residents displaced by last year's fighting.
The Zamboanga East Central School was also used as an evacuation centre for people displaced by the conflict.
While progress has been made in relocating the displaced people to transitional sites, efforts must continue to ensure that services such as water and sanitation are provided before moving people, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
