District Court in Manhattan, a
judge refused to grant the officer bail,
saying his conduct had been “depraved, bizarre, aberrational” and
entirely unexplained, “particularly for someone who is a law enforcement
officer.”
Valle was arrested last month in a case that has been seen as one of the most disturbing and unusual involving a police officer.
The judge, Paul G. Gardephe, made it clear
that bail involved elements of trust and an expectation of rational
behavior.

Valle, 28, is accused of plotting through emails and instant messages
with unidentified co-conspirators.
