MORE DEATH FROM INDIAN HEATWAVE

New Delhi – At least 2,360 people have died of heatwave in India since late May mostly in southeastern India.
Over the Last few days, at least 40 people died of sunstroke in eastern Indian state of Orissa, Xinhua news agency reported.
National capital Delhi  has seen temperatures approach 50 degrees Celsius (122 Fahrenheit) on Monday, with hot weather reported in many parts of the country despite arrival of monsoon rains in south India last weekend.
A delay in monsoon rains which hit southern state of Kerala last weekend was partially blamed for the unusual heatwave, but experts say climate change and global warming are major factors contributing to extreme weather conditions.
The Indian Meteorological Department predicted rains or thundershowers in several places in the next 24 hours but heatwave is not expected to subside in the coming days.
The heat is so intense in some areas that roads have begun to melt.
