SEX, LIES AND FACEBOOK PAGE IN MALAYSIA

For 15 years, a Malaysian man wooed victims online & blackmailed them for thousands of ringgit. However, the man, who is originally from Penang, was arrested in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, last week after two of his victims approached anti- crime activist for help.
The  53-year-old suspect left for Sabah last month to get married for the fifth time and investigations revealed that he intended to con more victims there.
He started his crime spree 15 years ago, long before it became fashionable to be on such sites.
He would woo unsuspecting women, first via MySpace and later on Facebook. He would convince them to have sex with him and secretly film the encounter. He would blackmail the victims asking for cash and more sex.
He is suspected of earning thousands of ringgit. He is also believed to have filmed 200 encounters over the years, although it is unclear if each film clip was of a different victim.
Some of the victims are believed to be men, reported The Star Online. Mr Kuan Chee Heng an anti- crime activist. persuaded the victims to lodge a police report.
"The victims had been keeping the incident a secret for a long time, but decided to come out to expose the truth.
"Although they were initially embarrassed to go to the police, they felt it was time he got caught," Mr Kuan told The Star Online.
Mr Kuan said he was also approached by the family of the suspect's new wife, who feared their daughter was being conned by the man she loved.
"One of his former wives and her family also lodged a police report against him," Mr Kuan said.
The man has been handed over to Subang police as one of his victims lodged a police report in that district.
