TURKEY BOOSTS FORCES ALONG SYRIA BORDER

Thousands of civilians have continued to flee the Islamic State group's rule in the Syrian province of al-Raqqa to neighbouring Turkey. The influx of refugees has prompted Ankara to boost its border patrol forces due to the threat of a spill over of the conflict.
New Turkish anti-aircraft systems have already been placed on the border with Syria.  Syrian government forces are relying heavily on helicopters to combat the rebels and prevent
arms smuggling across the border.

Al Jazeera's Bernard Smith reports from the Turkish town of Sanlurfa.
