A rare blast of snow and ice has hit the southern United States bringing misery to millions.
Three states have declared a state of emergency. At least five people have died, roads have been closed and airports shut down.
The icy storm
slammed the region from Texas through Georgia and the Carolinas.
Children stranding overnight at their schools, gnarling traffic across
many states and canceling flights at the world's busiest airport.
