GLEE TV STAR FOUND DEAD IN VANCOUVER HOTEL

 

Award-winning actor Cory Monteith, star of the hit TV show Glee, has been found dead in Canada, police said. The 31-year-old Canadian actor, who played the character Finn Hudson on the TV series about a high school glee club, was found dead in his room on the 21st floor of the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel on Vancouver's waterfront at about noon on Saturday. 

 Montieth's spokeswoman, Melissa Kates, said in a statement, "We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate". 

• The cause of death was not immediately apparent. Deputy Police Chief Doug Lepard said there was no indication of foul play. 
• Monteith's body was found by hotel staff after he missed his check-out time, he said.
