PERAK CHIEF MINSITER ANNOUNCES STATE ASSEMBLY DISSOLVED

IPOH PERAK(MALAYSIA) - Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Nizar Jamaluddin today in a drastic and an unprecedented move announced an immediate dissolution of the state assembly today, following political uncertainty in the state.
He told a press conference in Ipoh that he is seeking an audience with the Sultan of Perak to obtain his consent.
Nizar will seek the Sultan's consent to dissolve the state assembly amid swirling rumours more Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen are defecting to BN, on top of the three who have turned independent.
The menteri besar told reporters at 3pm that he would be seeking an audience with the Sultan to dissolve the state assembly.
He also said that Bota assemblyman Datuk Nasharudin Hashim, who had defected to PKR from Umno less
than two weeks ago, has now gone missing, adding that he had heard unconfirmed reports that the lawmaker had been "abducted".
During
the previous general election, Perak State Assembly had been won by the opposition party 'People Coalition(PR)' and since then PR had governed Perak through sample majority system.
However, from the latest news , Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has declared Perak National Front (BN) has secured the majority of state seats to form a new Perak Government after three PKR assemblymen and one DAP assemblyman have left their respective parties to join the BN.
