The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy has declared that the Israeli plan to conquer Gaza is just a 'fantasy'.
“The conquest of Gaza is just a fantasy, and Israel should know that if it wants to conquer Gaza, it will have to kill all the 1.5 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip,” IRNA quoted Admiral Morteza Saffari as saying on Tuesday.
“Hamas and the Palestinian resistance is an ideological movement that will never die,” he added.
“Hamas is everyone who opposes tyranny, aggression, and occupation, and all these people would have to be killed to eliminate Hamas,” Saffari stated.
The Iranian commander said that the silence of international bodies and some Arab leaders in the face of the atrocities Israel is committing against the Palestinians has emboldened the Israeli regime to continue committing war crimes.
The Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, which began on December 27, have killed 975 Palestinians and injured 4,400 others.
