KUCHING,Sarawak, Malaysia - Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak wants critics to know that he is "fighting fit" and ready to take them on.
Opening the Gathering of Rising Entrepreneurs Act Together (GREAT) 2016 here Sunday, the Prime Minister said he had a selection of two T-shirt sizes for the event - XL and XXL.
- "I'm proud to say that I chose XL and I can wear it. "The message is clear: I'm fighting fit and I will take on anyone," he said.
The Prime Minister did not elaborate.
Najib has been facing attacks over 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), criticisms from former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, rising prices and the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
On the cost of living, Najib said alleviating higher prices was only one aspect of the matter.
"Another aspect is how to increase the income of the people. We need to do this at the same time as taking steps to reduce prices," he said.
Najib also announced the setting up of Borneo 744 at Bintawa in Sarawak as a hub of creativity and innovation for young entrepreneurs.
"This will be a Blue Ocean Entrepreneurs' Town to encourage collaboration and networking among entrepreneurs. "We want to make this a model of creative entrepreneurship," he added.
