SINGAPORE - The air quality in Singapore has deteriorated further on Tuesday (Sep 8). According to the National Environment Agency (NEA), the 24-hour PSI was 92-105, the high end of the moderate range to the low end of the unhealthy range, as at 8pm on Tuesday.
For the rest of Tuesday and Wednesday, NEA reported that the
hazy weather is expected to persist although there might be rain in the
morning.
The 24-hr PSI for the next 24 hours is expected to be in the
low to mid end of the unhealthy range but may further deteriorate.
NEA advises the public to reduce outdoor activities and
physical exertion that can limit the ill effects from haze exposure.
The elderly, pregnant women, children and those with chronic
lung or heart disease are advised by NEA to minimise prolonged or strenuous
outdoor physical exertion.
- Those who are not feeling well, especially the elderly and children, and those with heart or lung conditions, should seek medical attention.
