PROSTITUTION ACTIVITIES ARE ALIVE AND SHINE IN SINGAPORE: 39 ALLEGED PROSTITUTE ARRESTED IN RAIDS


SINGAPORE - A raid in the western region of Singapore led to the arrest of 89 people, 39 of whom were women allegedly involved in prostitution-related activities.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the joint operation involved Jurong Police Division, Traffic Police, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
During the three-day operation, authorities investigated 1,240 people and 1,520 vehicles at Kranji, Bukit Batok and Yuan Ching Road.
A total of 89 people were arrested for illegal moneylending, prostitution, drug trafficking and immigration-related offences.
There were 39 women arrested, 26 of whom were between the ages of 22 and 41, and allegedly involved in prostitution-related activities online.
Eight people were arrested for their alleged involvement in immigration-related offences at Kranji, while another nine were involved in drug trafficking-related activities at Bukit Batok.
