
Two people, including a baby girl, died of hypothermia in central
Iloilo province on Saturday at the height of the typhoon, a government
spokesman said at a news conference.

The typhoon roared in from the Pacific Ocean and into remote fishing
communities on Samar island on Saturday night with wind gusts of
210km/h, local weather agency Pagasa said.
