NEW YORK, U.S.A. - A New York City police officer
charged in a plot to kidnap, rape, cook and eat women wrote in February
that he was planning to get “some girl meat” for Thanksgiving,
prosecutors revealed in court Tuesday.” It’s a long way off but I am
getting the plan in motion now,” the officer, Gilberto Valle, was quoted
as saying.
During the hearing, in US
District Court in Manhattan, a judge refused to grant the officer bail,
saying his conduct had been “depraved, bizarre, aberrational” and
entirely unexplained, “particularly for someone who is a law enforcement
officer.”
Valle was arrested last month in a case that has been seen as one of the most disturbing and unusual involving a police officer.
The judge, Paul G. Gardephe, made it clear that bail involved elements of trust and an expectation of rational behavior.

“But there has been nothing
rational about the conduct at issue in this case,” the judge said.
Valle, 28, is accused of plotting through emails and instant messages
with unidentified co-conspirators.
In one, he wrote that he had created a so-called blueprint for “Abducting and Cooking” a potential victim, according to a criminal complaint.
