GOLD COAST, Australia - The Bikini model and Penthouse Pet Simone Farrow was picked up at a cheap hotel on the Gold Coast Highway last week, a month after she jumped a A$150,000 (RM485,040) bail.
Farrow told reporters on Saturday that she ran away because someone was trying to murder her. The 37-year-old Australian, aka Starr, is expected to appear in court this week.
She was accused of trafficking methylamphetamine - also known as ice - packed in parcels containing bath salts and other products into Australia.
Using 19 aliases in her operation, police believed she was the brains behind an organised drug syndicate that comprises at least seven people.

- The Australia Federal Police investigated Farrow after Customs intercepted seven courier packages which contained ice or chemicals used as a cutting agent for the drug in 2009.
- After compiling information from phone, bank and postage records, police arrested Farrow in October 2009, when she arrived in Australia on a flight from Hawaii.
- Investigators also raided Farrow's apartment in Hollywood and seized 85g of ice and documents relating to drug shipments.
- Farrow posted bail later but she failed to appear at two scheduled court appearances last month and went on the run.
