As much predicted, Germany won the world cup by 1-0 beating Argentina in the second half of the extra time.
By scoring the second latest goal in World Cup history, Germany’s Mario
Gotze ensured the country’s victory over Argentina. The final was played in Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro Brazil on Sunday.
No European team has ever won a World Cup played in the Americas.
This is Germany’s fourth World Cup win.
